KUKA gains quality and environment management certification

120508_KukaKUKA has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 quality and ISO 14001:2004 environment management certificates after a thorough assessment of its operations and procedures, demonstrating that its systems meet the highest international quality standards.

Pictured with the certificates are Ian Walker (general sales manager) and Marie Winmill (sales and marketing coordinator).

KUKA impressed the auditors not only with its processes for meeting customers’ requirements, but also controlling and improving its environmental performance. “It was a tremendous team effort to secure accreditation to these important, internationally accepted standards and demonstrates KUKA’s commitment to achieving an efficient, environmentally-aware business,” explained Ian Walker, general sales manager.

KUKA Robotics UK recently moved to a new headquarters in Wednesbury as part of a major plan to expand its operations. It is set to hold an open house event for customers in the summer and will be exhibiting at Farnborough International Airshow from 9 -15 July. The company has also become a member of the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in order to play a wider role in the development of new manufacturing technologies.
