40th anniversary year also sees 250,000th robot sale

140721_AWLAWL-Techniek was awarded by ABB at the robotics giant’s recent European Value Provider Conference, recognising AWL’s achievement in helping ABB towards the delivery of its 250,000th robot, which coincided with its 40th anniversary.

Each year ABB Robotics celebrates the contributions and successes of their Value Providers and Customers at their Value Provider Conferences and Customer Days—events that give them their partners intimate access to the newest technology via live robotics demonstrations, business updates and breakout sessions. ABB takes the opportunity at these events to hand out awards to partners whose contributions have resulted in unique and innovative robotic automation solutions and have made an especially positive impact on ABB Robotics’ ability to reach more end-customers.

AWL-Techniek was one of six partners to win an award at this year’s award ceremony. As a leader in automated welding technology with many years of engineering experience, AWL has rightfully carved out the space in the world of industrial automation. AWL’s creative machine concepts greatly contribute to the effectiveness, reliability, ergonomics, machine intelligence and safety of some of the world’s most advanced welding systems.

AWL-Techniek was proud to receive the award ‘Outstanding sales and partnership with ABB to attain the 250.000 robots milestone’ from ABB Robotics, which was reached out by the president of ABB Robotics, Per Vegard Nersith. AWL chief technical officer Brand van’t Hof says: “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with ABB Robotics into the future – we are a good combination.”

It was not the first time that AWL has won awards. In 2011 it also received from ABB Robotics an award for the ‘Best achievement in long term partnership and business development in welding solutions’.
