Astech Projects joins the SiLA Consortium
Astech Projects has recently worked on several projects that utilise SiLA2 and has had a chance to experience the benefits the standard brings. The SiLA Consortium is a non-profit organisation dedicated to bringing scientists and their data together.“Having worked with SiLA we felt it was important that we now joined the consortium,” said a spokesperson for the company. “We are excited we can become more involved in developing the standard and benefit from being part of the growing community.”
By gathering a mix of life science experts and the best of industry SiLA aims to develop free and open system communication and data standards. SiLA and its members provide a framework for the exchange, integration, sharing, and retrieval of electronic laboratory information. These standards define how information is transported from one system to another. Setting the language, structure and data types required for seamless integration, SiLA supports the management, delivery, and evaluation of laboratory services.
