Omron and AWL form strategic partnership
The dynamic welding industry market is growing year on year. The increasing shortage of welding expertise and the increasing demand for flexible and safe welding machines is also forcing the technology to continue to innovate. This is why Omron and AWL have combined forces and decided to enter into a global partnership to develop and distribute a truly mature cobot welding solution: Qube.
AWL has expertise relating to process improvements and welding, while Omron’s strength lies in automation solutions that support humans and machines. This partnership has resulted in the development of this flexible cobot welding cell.
“Up until now there were really only two robot welding methods used in the automation industry: high-end robot welding cells or low-threshold cobots mounted on a pedestal,” says Tom Vrugteveen, sales engineer at AWL.
