At Food Manufacturing Live, Murrplastik will be showcasing the HygienicLine Dynamics, an innovative cable retraction system and FDA compliant, IP69K cable entry systems.

HygienicLine Dynamics is a cable retraction system that completely dispenses with protective sleeves and opts instead for innovative materials and Hygienic Design. Using high quality stainless steel and blue materials ensures optimum FDA compliance, consistent hygienic design, long life and easy maintenance. The use of detectable material ensures a high level of production reliability, as direct action can be taken in case of complications.

With the HygienicLine Dynamics technology, the food industry is better equipped today to meet the challenges of tomorrow. In particular, the application with the Stäubli TX200 HE robot, one of the most common models in food production, shows the potential of this worldwide innovation. Other robot models are also expected to benefit from this ground-breaking technology in the near future.

Handling and assembly robots are continually pushing the performance envelope in terms of load, speed and reach, and that places particular requirements on cable management. To meet these requirements in self-supporting applications, Murrplastik has introduced a new range of cable drag chains, with a one-piece design that is robust, easy to install and inexpensive.

Murrplastik says its MP 20.2 is extremely stable and robust, and has a stability and smoothness previously only available in larger-scale cable drag chains. The company offers the new MP 20.2 cable drag chain in a total of 20 variants: with chain widths of 15, 25, 38 and 50mm and radii of 38, 48, 75, 100 and up to 125mm. The MP 20.2 has an internal height of 20mm and an external height of 25mm. It includes 29 chain links per running metre (exactly 1.15 metres). An optional separator can be used to separate the lines. The chain links can be opened on the inside curve. The maximum travel distance is eight metres in hanging operation and three metres in upright operation.

In order to achieve high stability at a low wall thickness, Murrplastik’s engineers carried out filling simulations with MOLDFLOW and strength calculations with the ANSYS simulation software during the development stage. The chain links are manufactured in a single injection moulding cycle and in a single part. The cover is linked by means of a flexible hinge.

Murrplastik products are sold in the UK via sister company Murrelektronik. Visit the Murrelektronik website for further information.
