Seminar covers robotic safety for integrators

140914_PPMAThe PPMA has announced the date for its latest robotic safety seminars. Robotic Safety For Integrators will be held on 30 October in Northampton, and is aimed at companies using, purchasing, designing and manufacturing machines incorporating industrial robots.

It will discuss some of the issues regarding CE marking of complex assemblies and the requirements of the various standards, including:

  • EN ISO 10218-1:2011 Robots & Robotic Devices – Safety Requirements for Industrial Robots – Part 1: Robots
  • EN ISO 10218-2:2011 Robots & Robotic Devices – Safety Requirements for Industrial Robots – Part 2: Robot Systems and Integration

Areas to be covered include:

  • CE marking
  • Hazard identification
  • Risk assessment and risk reduction
  • Safety and safeguarding
  • Safety requirements and safety related control systems
