Mitsubishi Electric highlights TSN-driven IIoT solutions

220211_MitsAt this year’s Drives & Controls Exhibition, Mitsubishi Electric will showcase how Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) connectivity enables the creation of future-oriented Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. Outlining the advantages of this network technology, visitors to stand F100 will be invited to see how the company’s range of automation solutions can drive up productivity by enabling data convergence using CC-Link IE TSN.

The digital transformation of business is helping to realise smart manufacturing frameworks that can deliver accurate predictive insights to improve and optimise operations. Mitsubishi Electric will present how a network infrastructure that can process, analyse and share data using automation devices with TSN capabilities can be created.

In addition to new industry leading developments in PLCs, HMIs and drives, visitors will be able to learn about the company’s comprehensive range of robots and integrated solutions. Among them will be ICONICS’ suite of advanced visualisation technology. Also on stand will be the results of the collaboration with leading provider of operational technology (OT) cyber security solutions for industrial automation networks, Radiflow. CC-Link IE TSN, enables these products to futureproof the IT/OT enterprise leveraging data convergence and the benefits of smart manufacturing.

CC-Link IE TSN is the first open gigabit industrial Ethernet that supports TSN connectivity. This is an innovative technology that can simultaneously facilitate convergence and determinism. Ultimately, it offers a unique gateway to merge the IT and OT domains to enable data-driven decision making while supporting high-speed, time-critical shop floor communications.

Duncan Nicol, market development manager, comments: “We look forward to attending Drives & Controls 2022 and offering an insight into how companies can prepare for the future of manufacturing. In particular, how they can succeed in their digital transformation by utilising TSN and our ever-growing range of automation components that support this technology. We invite visitors to discuss their applications and requirements with our experts on stand F100.”
