Interroll to showcase Light Conveyor Platform AMR

240228_Interroll_RUInterroll is set to showcase its Light Conveyor Platform (LCP) and LCP Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Top Module at the upcoming IntraLogisteX show. Both products have been developed to increase the productivity and efficiency of manufacturing processes.

The LCP transports small conveyor goods weighing up to 50 kilograms. It can handle inclines or declines and is driven by compact and energy efficient drum motors, with an efficiency of over 85 percent.

The AMR Top Module is an expansion to the LCP, it was engineered to sit on top of existing autonomous mobile robots to facilitate the automated collection and transfer of items from one conveyor to another. This provides end-users with more automation capabilities for their material handling flows while allowing multiple lines to be run closer together and removing repetitive action from employees’ workload

Hilton Campbell, managing director of Interroll UK said: “We are looking forward to returning to the IntraLogisteX show with two exciting solutions to present to the market. The LCP and LCP AMR Top Module are premium products based on our proven long -lasting technologies, they can be implemented in a variety of settings and deliver a robust service that offers the absolute premium in material handling.”

The LCP is available as a plug and play stand-alone conveyor, meaning that end-users can easily implement it into their existing operating systems. It has an integrated safety system controller and is pre-assembled with routed cables and a pre-tensioned belt. Its predefined module sizes offer manufacturers different lengths and widths to create efficient conditions for fast production and delivery times.

The LCP AMR Top Module was co-developed with two leading AMR manufacturers. It enables the handling and movement of lightweight goods, and offers a seamless interface with existing conveyor systems guaranteeing a smooth material flow. It can be wirelessly connected to a stationary conveyor and has direct infrared contact, meaning there is no risk of incorrect offloading. The AMR Top Module comes in a range of sizes and can be manually adjusted to the perfect height, it has a variety of options and upgrades including flexible or fixed sideguides, a side-scanner and an electrostatic discharge belt.

Campbell added: “These solutions can be used in a variety of situations including material handling, production, manufacturing and goods transportation. Interroll prides itself on producing the highest quality results, therefore both products faced rigorous testing before being introduced into the market.

“Both products can be easily integrated into new and existing applications without engineering effort, they have built-in safety systems for stable and safe operation and are scalable and flexible for future adaptions. These products reflect our commitment to addressing industry challenges and provisioning results in a rapidly evolving landscape.”

The introduction of the LCP and LCP AMR Top Module can significantly reduce manual handling and transportation times, allowing end users to focus on tasks requiring human expertise, creativity and decision-making.
