Universal Robots names Global Distributor of the Year
RARUK Automation has been named Universal Robots’ Distributor of the Year. The prestigious award recognises the distributor that has achieved the largest growth and sales globally over the last year. Danish robotics manufacturer Universal Robots has a network of over 300 distributors worldwide. RARUK Automation has also been awarded Platinum Plus status.
RARUK Automation is a dedicated automation company that splintered off from long-standing engineering distributor RA Rodriguez. The business relationship between Universal Robots and RARUK began in 2010.
Today RARUK Automation represents Universal Robots and UR+ solutions in the UK, as well as autonomous mobile robots from MiR and other automation solutions including EffiMat automated warehouse storage and FlexiBowl flexible part feeders.
The Universal Robots range of 6-axis robotic arms is designed to work safely alongside humans, due to intelligent safety sensors. This key factor makes Universal Robots more accessible and flexible than traditional solutions, which can be costly and require comprehensive guarding.
RARUK Automation has assisted businesses across the UK with their automation journey, no matter how big or small the application. Using Universal Robots and the large range of plug and play solutions available, RARUK Automation has helped customers boost the efficiency of tasks including palletising, sanding, machine tending, welding and dispensing.
In an age of labour shortages, companies tend to automate dull or dangerous tasks. This means that they can re-allocate staff to higher-value, safer tasks that do not pose the risk of repetitive strain injury.
