LVD and REA Robotics announce strategic partnership
LVD Company has announced a strategic partnership with REA Robotics to jointly develop highly customised, heavy-duty robotic bending cells tailored specifically for complex fabrication projects. The alliance expands LVD’s robotic bending offering and supports its goal of being a single-source supplier of advanced bending automation solutions for the metal fabrication market. REA will broaden market access for its robotized bending products through LVD’s global sales network.
The partnership leverages the deep automation expertise REA Robotics has built over decades as a dedicated specialist in robotised solutions for a wide variety of industries including sheet metal bending. Its field-proven designs include complex, heavy-duty robotic handling lines, automated cells featuring massive multi-gripper robots, and use of advanced tracking systems used to synchronize robot and press brake.
Combining REA’s custom engineering capabilities with LVD’s bending process proficiency, fabricators will now have access to an unmatched, reliable, single-source automated bending platform capable of optimising any sheet metal manufacturing process.
“As automation continues to transform manufacturing and bending applications grow in complexity, we are meeting critical industry challenges with specialized automated solutions,” said Carl Dewulf, CEO of LVD Group. “REA is an ideal partner for the growth of our automated bending solutions, as a reputable, experienced bending automation integrator. Their expertise alongside LVD’s high level of bending know-how will help us bring to market the customized automated bending systems our customers want and need.”
Accelerated development of advanced bending cells
Together, the engineering and research teams will accelerate the development of advanced bending cells through tight integration of press brake and robot, control-interface synchronization, software validation, and system compatibility. Customers will benefit from rapid factory-floor deployment, improved production flexibility, a significantly optimized machinery footprint, and short installation times.
LVD will continue to engineer, develop and sell its Robotic Bending Systems (RBS) and LVD Robotic Solutions products, including the Ricobb cobot, as well as specialiaed profile bending systems.
