Pilz introduces Robot safety and Integration course

250131_PilzJoin the experts at Pilz for a brand new training course: Robotic Safety and Integration.

Affordable, flexible and easily teachable, robots are becoming a permanent fixture within plants and on production lines – understandable, when the inclusion of them can increase productivity tenfold. But the hazards they present cannot be underestimated – studies indicate that many robot accidents occur during non-routine operating conditions, such as programming, maintenance, testing, setup or adjustment.

Developing an understanding of the relevant robotic standards, potential pitfalls and risk reduction methods can go a long way to ensuring a robot integration is as safe as it can possibly be. And that understanding is exactly what delegates walk away with when attending the new Pilz training course.

The aim of this training is to provide those who integrate robot applications with an understanding of the essential requirements of robot and collaborative application safety. This includes an overview of the scope of the international standards ISO 10218-1 and 2 in relation to robots and robot integration.

The training course covers, amongst other things, robot classification, cyber security, risk assessment and risk reduction requirements, safety function Performance Level and validation/verification requirements for robot applications.
