HARTING has been established in the UK for over 30 years, with over 100 employees working from its Northampton based site. The HARTING range of products and solutions includes industrial connectors, device connection technology, network components and ready-to-use system cables.

HARTING products provide connectivity and network solutions for the key lifelines of data, signal and power in industry sectors such as automation, automotive, rail, energy, transport and machinery.

HARTING has been at the forefront of this industry trend since the beginning and have introduced an array of Industry 4.0 ready products such as HARTING’s MICA (Modular Industry Computing Architecture), RFID solutions, Smart Han® and a range of miniaturised device interfaces and system cables.

The company also offers a customised solutions service, HARTING Customised Solutions (HCS), including kitting, bespoke cable assemblies, box builds and product modifications. HARTING Integrated Solutions, offer a range of custom solutions to assist with backplane design, boxed solutions, high-speed communications and I/O panels.

Harting_profile_2HARTING has been a 100% family-owned business since it was founded by Wilhelm and Marie Harting in 1945. A management transition has taken place from the second to the third generation of the family, in accordance with the company’s vision to remain an independent family business.

Philip Harting, as a partner and board member of the Connectivity & Networks division, has taken over as executive chairman from his father Dietmar, now a board member. Philip Harting now leads the Technology Group together with his mother Margrit, Senior Vice President, his sister Maresa Harting-Hertz, board member of the Finance and Purchasing department, and other non-family managers.
